Your

President

Your

Your
Excellencies; Heads of Supreme Audit Institutions,
Distinguished
Attendees;
To you all, I extend my
sincere greetings. I would like to present my thanks and gratitude for your
esteemed General Assembly’s endorsement of the hosting of the Arab Republic of
Egypt for XXV INCOSAI.
It is a great honor for my country to have, for the second time,
such a trustworthiness
attestation and to sincerely work together with a serious determination
towards strengthening the INTOSAI’s global voice.
I would also like to
extend my sincere congratulations to the Supreme Audit Institution of Brazil
for its successful hosting of XXIV INCOSAI under its generous patronage.
Your distinguished
management of our meetings had a great impact on the fruitful results and
important decisions reached, hence providing our Organization with a clear road
map that is accurately and comprehensively reflected in our strategic plan for
the next six years and in the respective operational plans of the Working
Groups and the Key Goals’ Committees as well.
This is together with its
aim of developing new mechanisms to achieve resilience to emergency situations,
strengthening strategic partnerships with other Organizations, external
partners and civil society in addition to supporting the independence of
Supreme Audit Institutions and enhancing their own capabilities on a
comprehensive basis within a sound framework of improved professional pronouncements as
we viewed and discussed together when launching a new Guideline tackling the
work of Supreme Audit Institutions with anti-corruption authorities.
This is along with
promoting inclusiveness and gender equality within the framework of the INTOSAI
community; a priority to which our SAI attaches a considerable importance and
explicitly asserted in its organizational architecture that bears testimony to
the diversity of its auditors.
We promise to work -
through these mechanisms, and based on the promising initiatives we have
launched and the important conceptual conclusions we unanimously agreed upon
during this Congress - towards building on the progress we have achieved
reaching the highest levels of transparency, integrity and good governance as
well as achieving sustainability on all axes of development.
Honorable audience, I do
not want to prolong, so I would like to invite you to watch this short video
with which I end my speech, hoping to meet and warmly welcome you to Egypt on
the banks of the Eternal River Nile during the XXV INCOSAI.
Once again, my sincerest thanks and best regards!
